Both now residing in the vibrant heart of New York City, their love story is a perfect blend of East and West. Tiffany, a Vietnamese-American, and Evan, who is half Vietnamese, embody a rich tapestry of cultural experiences and family traditions. It was clear from our first conversation that they deeply value their heritage and wish to celebrate it in a meaningful way.

Bringing Family Together

Though Tiffany and Evan live in NYC, their families are spread across the country. With Tiffany’s family based in California, they decided to host an intimate Vietnamese tea ceremony in her family’s backyard which will also be a special prelude to their larger wedding celebration in SoCal.

Their idea is heartwarming: to create a memorable event that honors their Vietnamese heritage and allows their extended family to partake in the festivities. The photos from this tea ceremony will be displayed at their NYC wedding, bridging both events and connecting their loved ones across the miles.

Planning the Perfect Tea Ceremony

Tiffany’s mom attended a tea ceremony I hosted previously and recommended me for this joyous occasion. Understanding the significance of the ceremony, especially for Tiffany’s family, who predominantly speak Vietnamese, I was committed to providing a bilingual experience that respects generational nuances. My goal is to ensure that every guest feels included and that the ceremony runs smoothly, blending traditional elements with the couple’s unique love story.

A Day to Remember

They invited around 80-90 guests for the tea ceremony, making it a cozy yet grand affair. The backyard setting will provide an intimate zen atmosphere, perfect for this cultural celebration.
