Ultimate Guide to Universal Studios Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Tips & Tricks to See Everything!

Are you going to Universal Studios this summer?! If you are then I have some treats for you! Before I take you on an adventure, I just wanted to give a shoutout to my boyfriend who woke me up at 5 in the morning, drove me all the way to Hollywood, and surprised me with tickets to Universal Studios. I haven't been back since 5-6 years ago!Plus, they didn't have Harry Potter World back then and a couple of other 4-D rides that I wanted to explore.

So before you make your own trip, check out my tips and tricks to both the park and to The Wizarding World of our favorite wizard ;)

Tip #1: Go on a weekday and plan your drive accordingly so you'll get to the park as soon as it opens!

Park Hours: 9 AM - 10 PM

Jonathan and I went on a Tuesday (my actual birthday) and it was perfect!

Tip #2: Go to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter first and get in line for the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey attraction

Trust me, you won't regret it. Normal wait time is usually anywhere from 60-90 minutes for this ride so you want to experience it first (and with little to no wait, I might add)

Tip #3: Save the Studio Tour for the end of the day

Make sure you check out all of the other rides and conclude your day on a more relaxed environment. These tours do last for about an hour!

What to Drink:

  • BUTTER BEER  -  THIS IS SO REFRESHINGLY HYDRATING! Jonathan and I loved it so much, he ended up getting us a couple of rounds throughout the day. If you see those long lines of people standing by a cart, chances are, people are waiting to get their hands on these

What you'd expect: If you end up going for the frozen option, it pretty much tastes like butterscotch icee

Tip: Go inside Three Broomsticks (Refer to my photo above to see what it looks like) and you can order butter beer at the full-service bar. No line, no wait and you can order a couple of drinks while you're at it ;)

What to Eat:

Jonathan and I walked around all of the parks to explore every dining option before choosing Three Broomsticks and it couldn't have been a perfect choice. Previously, I took him to Six Flags on our one year anniversary and the food was overpriced and subpar.

Universal Studios did an incredible job when it came down to staffing (We talked to so many of the casts and everyone was lively/conversational!), quality of the food, and cleanliness.

Here is my own personal recommendation. If you're a big fan of meat, you need to try the Beef Sunday Roast. It comes with a huge slice of prime rib, roast potatoes, fresh veggies, Yorkshire pudding and gravy. It's not House of Prime Rib, but overall, fairly delicious for what it's worth

Jonathan ended up going for the Lemon Herb Chicken. Our waiter giggled at us because he saw that my dish was relatively heartier than Jonathan's. I don't blame him. Most people don't expect someone like me to eat as much as I do, but you can bet that I finished everything on my plate

Dining Experience: 5 stars because I am such a big Potterhead. Secondly, it feels like you're in a rustic dining hall in Hogsmead

Satisfaction: Extremely happy :)

Have fun and stay hydrated, loves!
